Best print-and-cut nesting software in 2026

For wide-format shops that nest every week: vinyl, canvas, wallpaper, stickers. Not Cricut. Not sheet-metal CAM. We score roll-native nesting, true-shape, cut.pdf / CutContour and three-year cost — not brochure checkmarks.

Updated 28 August 2026. NestPrintCut editorial — the team that builds RolCut. Scores follow the public method. We do not run a 200-roll lab we have not run.

2026 shop pick

RolCut

92

The only suite in the table that is roll nesting plus print.pdf + cut.pdf + cut.dxf on a bill under €500/year. It wins the shop board. On the prepress board it cedes automation to PrimeCenter.

Who this ranking is for

Owner or the tech at the table. A cutter (Summa, Graphtec, iEcho, Zünd) or a flatbed. A RIP already, or you nest in Corel. You pay for waste and operator time. If you want a free A4 nest or steel CAM, scroll to Nest&Cut and EasyCut — we say outright they are the wrong shelf.

How the points work

One hundred points, seven criteria. Weight goes to the roll, cutter files and TCO — that is what a 2–30 person shop feels. A second board for prepress desks, where automation outweighs price. The full write-up is on the method page.

Head-to-head

The three fights a shop actually has.

Guides that close the query

Not reviews of reviews. The job: waste, CutContour, a Caldera stand-in, Summa and iEcho.

Before you start a trial

Why is RolCut first if you make it?

Because the shop board weights TCO and time-to-first-nest. PrimeCenter is the stronger prepress tool and wins the second board. Hiding the link would be a reason to discard us. The method is public — recalculate it.

Is this a RIP ranking?

No. A RIP (CalderaRIP, Onyx, Ergosoft) rasters and holds the profile. This ranking is nesting and the cut contour. Shops that bought a RIP for one function pay for the rest of the suite all year.

What about Nest&Cut and EasyCut?

They are in the table so you do not mix them up. Nest&Cut is sheet-metal CAM (DXF→DXF). EasyCut is a cheap vinyl studio for a small plotter. Neither hands a shop print.pdf + cut.pdf on a 159 cm roll.

Where do prices come from?

Public vendor and reseller lists from 2024–2026. Griffin and some Fiery seats are quotes — we show shop-floor ranges, not a made-up number. The review date sits above the table.

First nest this afternoon, not after training.

7 days on the full RolCut plan, no card. print.pdf + cut.pdf + cut.dxf. €49/mo or €499/year.
