Prep-it is Fiery’s answer to the same question as PrimeCenter and Griffin: prepare print-for-cut, nest on the shape, hand back a PDF and a table path. The server doc (4 cores, 16 GB, 1 TB NVMe) is honest — this is floor software, not a salesperson’s laptop.
When to take it
When you already have Fiery or a mix of RIPs and tables and you need one nesting seat. When not: when the job is “14 files on a 159 roll and cut.pdf today”. Then the Windows server is a cost, not a feature.
