Software in the ranking
Eight reviews. Two sit in the table so you do not buy them for a roll.
RolCut
92The only suite in the table that is roll nesting plus print.pdf + cut.pdf + cut.dxf on a bill under €500/year. It wins the shop board. On the prepress board it cedes automation to PrimeCenter.
Caldera PrimeCenter
78The best prepress tool in the set. True-shape, marks, bleed, queues, CalderaRIP or Onyx. It wins the second board. On the shop board it loses on the invoice and on time-to-production.
Enfocus Griffin
74The best shape engine in the table. Native PDF, DXF, Zünd Cut Center, Auto. Price and deployment push it off the shop board.
ONYX TruFit
68A reasonable true-shape box beside the RIP. Marketing claims up to 50% media. On Signs101 it is sometimes called a trimmed Griffin. It makes sense as a Thrive add-on, not as a first buy without Onyx.
Fiery Prep-it
73A serious print-to-cut hub: free-angle true-shape, hot folders, PDF to any RIP. Server requirements (i7, 16 GB, NVMe) say this is not SaaS. Price about $3,000.
eCut
66The best plugin in the table. True-shape, DXF, crop marks, print/cut inside Corel for a one-time ~$70. It will not replace a shop that left the design station.
Nest&Cut
50A good metal SaaS. A bad buy if you typed “nest and cut” looking for CutContour. It stays in the ranking so you do not buy steel CAM for vinyl.
EasyCut Studio
53A cheap vinyl studio with nesting and print-and-cut for small plotters. Not wide-format shop software. In the table to filter hobby queries.
