RolCut vs TruFit: only if Onyx is already there.
TruFit is a shape nester next to a RIP. RolCut is a roll nest that emits print.pdf + cut.pdf + cut.dxf for any RIP. They overlap on true-shape. They do not overlap on who should buy first.

RolCut
The only suite in the table that is roll nesting plus print.pdf + cut.pdf + cut.dxf on a bill under €500/year. It wins the shop board. On the prepress board it cedes automation to PrimeCenter.
ONYX TruFit
A reasonable true-shape box beside the RIP. Marketing claims up to 50% media. On Signs101 it is sometimes called a trimmed Griffin. It makes sense as a Thrive add-on, not as a first buy without Onyx.

Take TruFit when
Thrive already nests rectangles and the shop refuses to leave Onyx. Irregular stickers or textile. Then TruFit is cheaper than Griffin and closer to the ecosystem.
Do not take TruFit when
You have no Onyx and you are buying “just in case”. Signs101 repeats the same thread: operators drift back to in-RIP rectangles after a month.

Is TruFit a trimmed Griffin?
On Signs101 that sentence comes up. Treat it as a shop-floor rumour, not a datasheet. The useful fact: it is a second window beside Onyx.
