The 2026 “nesting software” market is three shelves Google glued together: sheet-metal CAM, a $60 vinyl studio, and wide-format prepress. A shop that does not split the shelves will buy Nest&Cut for film or EasyCut for an iEcho. Questions first, vendors second — vendors live in the ranking.

- Do we cut a print (print-and-cut) or bare metal / acrylic? If no print — this site is not yours.
- Roll, board, or both? If roll: media width is the first dimension.
- Rectangle, shape, or both? A JPEG with no alpha is not a shape.
- What does the table eat: spotted PDF, DXF, a native job?
- Is prepress a job with hot folders, or an operator at the RIP?

The TCO a vendor will not show
Three years × seat price + deployment + time until the first cut.pdf clears the table. PrimeCenter Pro: about €7,500 + days. Griffin: a quote + training. RolCut: €1,497 and an afternoon. TruFit: about $2,000 and the friction of a second window. The number is yours; the order of the questions is not.

Is there one “best print and cut nesting software”?
No. There is a shop-board best and a prepress-board best. That is why the ranking has two tables.
Where do I start if I do not know?
A week of waste measurement (separate guide) and the file the table already eats. Then the board. A no-card trial exists so step three is a nest, not a call.
