eCut

The best plugin in the table. True-shape, DXF, crop marks, print/cut inside Corel for a one-time ~$70. It will not replace a shop that left the design station.

Updated 28 August 2026. NestPrintCut editorial — the team that builds RolCut. Scores follow the public method. We do not run a 200-roll lab we have not run.

eCut has sat in Corel since X3. For shops that build a kit in CDR and nest immediately, it is still the shortest path: docker, nest, crop marks, DXF or plotter. The one-time price breaks the TCO scale — hence 14 points. Do not confuse it with similarly named studios.

Why not higher

Because “cutter output” here means print.pdf + cut.pdf with a spot that the RIP and the table eat without opening Corel. eCut stays in the design file. That is a different shop change: stay at the station, or pull nesting upstream of the RIP.

Pros and cons

  • Cheap, once
  • True-shape + rectangles in a Corel docker
  • Contour, marks, weeding, DXF, G-code
  • Signs101 still recommends it for vinyl
  • Needs Corel with VBA — not an independent nester
  • Wide-format roll is not first-class
  • No server queue, no shop API
  • Licensing and support can be hands-on
