Since 2024–2026 PrimeCenter is Caldera’s answer to “I want nesting and file prep, not necessarily your RIP”. Version 5.0 (June 2026) adds File Editor — preflight and fixes without hopping apps. This is a desk product, not a tool for 14 JPEGs on a roll before break.
What you are actually buying
Not a nester. A prep station: import, check, bleed, cut contour, camera marks, a slot in the queue, export to the RIP. The nest is best-in-class for “big prepress”, especially when files differ, duplex, or run in scripts.

Why it is not first on the shop board
Because the shop in the RolCut brief — 2–30 people, weekly nests, RIP already there — often uses PrimeCenter for nest and contour only. You still pay for the whole prep desk. Three-year TCO on Pro is about €7,500; RolCut is €1,497. The gap has to come back as automation. If it does — buy PrimeCenter and ignore our trial button.
